I grew up in a health-conscious household. My parents were born and raised in the southern part of the United States (Alabama) and brought much of their upbringing north which included gardening. While we had our treats and some unhealthy items, our food was prepared by mom and we always consumed lots of fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. We had the optional takeout on Saturday.

It wasn’t until I moved and lived overseas that I learned that I could be healthier. While there I learned a lot about health and picked up some tools that enabled me improve my overall health.

When I returned home to the United States of America, I was passionately-enthusiastic about sharing what I learned. I helped everyone I could: family members, friends, colleagues, even strangers!

Despite my passion and knowledge, I knew there was more to learn and I was determined to help people reach their optimal health. After researching numerous programs, I found Dr. William Sears and was fascinated by his Lifestyle, Education, Attitude and Nutrition (LEAN) concepts and those in the Prime Time Health (PTH) category. I use these health-promoting tools as well as others from my tool box to help individuals and their families reach their optimal health.
